When do we get to go back to Franklin??!!22 Jan 2010

Hello and thank you to the amazing people of Franklin, North Carolina for an incredible evening! Wow, I’m not even sure where to start.

Tonight was our first visit to the wonderful town of Franklin and now I can’t wait to find out when our second visit will be!

We had no idea what we were going to see when we got here, but there’s no way we would have imagined your unbelievable Performing Arts Center, along with The Factory!

We barely had enough time to sleep while we were here. We had lunch at The Boiler Room, played a ton of video games at The Fun Factory and had a wonderful time with all of you over at the Performing Arts Center.

Now we do a lot of shows and we have a lot of fun at those shows, but it’s rare that somebody like Jackie comes along at our shows. I’m not sure how we would have made it through the night without all that material Jackie and her motor home provided for us.

If you weren’t in the lobby after the show, Jackie was still trying to get somebody to answer her question about putting water in her battery. She was quite disappointed that we didn’t give her an actual answer. I’m not sure if she noticed or not, but we didn’t really give anyone a real answer.

By the time we got into that Party Quirks game you were really rolling. You had Adam in my basement trying to fix my furnace while those clouds were following him around. And you had Erik working at a nail salon while practicing his cow pie throwing.

Then things got completely out of control during the Detective Mystery. Math class at Burger King submerged in a swimming pool was great! But the weapon was completely over the top! A guitar shaped like a trombone was a good start, but it got even better when that guitar was made from dental floss and could be used as a plunger. That was an amazing collection of suggestions!!

Then in debating we got to travel in the Magic School Bus and that was fine. But when you had Erik playing the role of a Fireman wearing a Speedo, I thought we went beyond weird. =) And we still had to represent the Ant Farmers and the Snake Charmers!

Overall, this trip is not one that we will soon forget. We really enjoyed the energy all of you brought to the show. And the staff of the Performing Arts Center went above and beyond to help us!

Thank you Franklin, we can’t wait to hear from you on our guestbook!!
