K-Love Cruise 201006 Feb 2010

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that getting together on a cruise ship in the Bahamas with a bunch of amazing bands never gets old, huh?

Once again this year, the fine people at KLove radio invited us to be part of the festivities on the KLove cruise and we were excited to get back out there.

That first night the boat was rockin’ and many of you were not feeling completely up to par. But you recovered quickly and got out there to see your favorite bands.

One of the reasons we like going on these cruises so much is that you guys treat us like we actually belong in the same category as some of these bands. We greatly appreciate that! But we know our place; to give you a little diversion before you go rock it with the next band. =)

If you were at our first night on stage then you know who Caleb is. We always encourage people to come up with weird and unusual suggestions, but Caleb may have gone to a level we haven’t seen before. Caleb’s suggestion that first night was for us to act out a “full yak bladder”. Yeah, you read that right.

And as I pointed out one of the other nights, we also met Caleb’s mom. We were watching a concert out on the deck when she sat down in front of us. She turned around to us and while pointing at herself said, “full yak bladder’s mom!”

It was easily one of the oddest moments I can remember in a long, long time!

As you can imagine, Caleb and his suggestion were a common topic of conversation for us and many of you throughout the cruise.

Another great collection of moments were when the announcement lady on the ship kept interrupting our shows. First it was when we were up in the Sound of Music Lounge and it happened twice. I don’t know if you noticed, but this type of interruption did not occur during Chris Tomlin’s show for some reason. =)

Then the next night we were in the Circuit Lounge and it happened again…twice! By that time we were treating it like a contest. Out thought was if one of the names called was a person in our show then we win. I don’t think that occurred, but it was fun playing!

We met so many of you and we ate so much food and we made so many visits to the ice cream machine; it’s hard to summarize everything that happened this week. But once again our friends at KLove threw an incredible party, the Bahamas were as beautiful as ever, and all of you made us feel extra special.

Thank you for that! And we look forward to hearing from you on our guestbook!
