Camp Electric13 Jul 2010

So we were curious how we would be received by all of you at Camp Electric. You never know what to expect when 3 comedians invade a music camp. But you welcomed us in and welcomed the infusion of comedy into your week. Thank you for that!

We’ve heard a lot about Camp Electric, but we were excited to see it in person. First of all, Trevecca Nazarene University was larger than I expected. It’s a great campus!

And of course it was great to see so many familiar faces from the times we’ve spent with Premier events in the past.

Finally, to top off our welcome, we got to sit in on a couple of sound checks that felt like our own private concerts! First Pillar, I’m sure you enjoyed the “Mystery Concert” tonight; and then Decyfer Down who absolutely rocked the house!!

Then when it would have been hard to imagine how things could get any better, we hit the stage and you guys were incredible! No wonder everyone has so many great things to say about this event!

I got to work in a rubber ducky factory and play the part of a podiatrist. I’m not actually a doctor and I haven’t even played one on tv.

We helped point Joe from San Antonio in the right direction when he asked where babies come from. And we talked to that girl from Ohio that we really couldn’t hear.

The fun started though when you got warmed up with your suggestions. The Starship Enterprise pulling up to an outer space hot dog stand; and Chuck Norris with silly string was also a pretty nice picture.

Then we totally got stumped on a suggestion that really wasn’t all that hard, honestly. For some reason we hit a brain block on “amusement” park. I’m not sure why we couldn’t come up with that one. And it might have made it worse when my only guess was “Amazon Park”. =)

But we survived and completed all of the topics including the Under Water Basket Weaver.

Now we’re on to our next stop in Shreveport, Louisiana, but we won’t soon forget our first experience at Camp Electric. And we can’t wait to hear from all of you on our guestbook!!
